As I walked into my 11:00AM Educational Media Technology class, the first thing I noticed was we had an unexpected guest sitting in front of the room. In front of him was a computer that he was concentrating on real hard. Why? I didn't quite figure that out yet. Maybe he was working on an assignment or maybe he was working on some personal business.

As the rest of the class started to come in and settle down, Dr. Lowe introduced us to our guest.
"Today, I want to introduce you to my 8 year grandson. He will be speaking to you about what type of technology he uses and how he enjoys it."

As I sat there and listened to Liam, I learned a few interesting things. First, I learned that I know nothing when it comes to technology. Ok, that's a lie. I know some technology, but not as much as Liam. I also learned that to kids what they play online may just be a simple game but really, deep down, it is so much more than a game. It's a hands-on activity that helps with hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills and cognitive development.

I appreciate that Liam came in to hang out with us. There is a lot I can learn from the younger generations.
